The main specialty of this region is the suckling lamb, either oven-roasted or grilled over vine shoots. In addition, you can enjoy pickled or stewed partridge (a Royal dish). Try also morcillas and sopas morenas (brown soup) made over the matanza (the annual slaughtering of the pig)

Ratatouille and vegetable stew are also delicious mainly because the quality of the vegetables grown in the area. Cheeses: soft-ripened, ripened, de campos… accompanied by good local wines…or by licor de endrinas (sloe gin) nut, blackberry, cerise, del peregrino liquor and so on.
